Happy Monday – I hope everyone had a great weekend! My mom’s birthday was on Friday so we went to see Wicked Friday evening – it was so good! I am always so amazed when I see musicals at the talent, the choreography, and the costumes – and I always wonder how they never mess up – haha! The rest of the weekend I helped her to plant some flowers in the backyard and I was also able to just relax & catch up on some errands & things.
Today’s post is one of my favorites and features another look from our trip to the beach at South Padre Island a few weeks ago (see the other looks here & here!). Each year I always dread shopping for swimsuits mostly because I think they all start to look alike after a while and I am always shocked at how expensive they can be. I also find that many swim tops are simply too revealing, so it’s usually a struggle to find one I like. Most years I end up just going with a solid color bikini from Old Navy, but I’ve found those usually only hold up for about one season and then the next year I’m forced to shop for a bikini all over again.
I stumbled across this Becca bikini top a couple of months ago when I saw Jennifer from Haute Off the Rack post this picture, and I fell in love with the crocheted detailing on the top! It was a little more expensive than I usually pay for swimwear so I went back and forth for a few weeks trying to decide if I should order it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it though so I decided to just bite the bullet and order it and I am so happy that I did! As soon as Drew & I were on the beach I realized how much I loved this top… it was SO comfortable! Because of the halter-top style, it is incredibly supportive and it felt like I was wearing a sports bra… I could run to catch the frisbee or chase Charlie along the beach and didn’t have to worry at all about “falling out”. The quality is also amazing… I know that it is going to last me several years which made it worth the investment.
I wore this suit with my DIY “Do Not Disturb” beach hat which you can learn how to make from this post here!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
