Happy Thursday! January is such an unpredictable month for trying to figure out how to dress – one day it could be freezing cold, the next day sunny & 70 degrees, the next day snowing, and the next day pouring rain! I’ve learned over the years that the trick to dressing for the weather here in Texas is to dress in layers. You’ll always find me in vests, light jackets, etc. rather than wearing thicker sweaters, because that way you can shed your layers as needed throughout the day as the weather/your situation changes. Today’s look is the perfect example of that! As you can see from these photos, it was raining when we snapped these photos on Sunday (big shout out to Drew for braving the weather for me to take these!), and the combination of layering a light tee with a quilted vest and my favorite rain jacket (seriously – this jacket is the best!) made for the perfect rainy day outfit! And no rainy day would be complete without a pair of rain boots (see more ways to style these boots here). I also love carrying my Longchamp nylon tote (see my full review here) when the weather is misty/rainy, because it is water resistant and then I don’t have to worry about it like I would if I were carrying a leather bag!
Thanks for stopping by!
