Happy Monday – I hope everyone had a great weekend! Drew came to Dallas to visit for the weekend, and as I mentioned in this post, it was so great to have him here for the weekend! This was the first time that he has been able to come visit since he had his brain surgery back in May which is a sign that things are slowly but surely starting to get back to “normal”. If living 3 hours away from your boyfriend of 6.5 years is considered “normal”. Lol.
Anyway, on to today’s look! As I’ve mentioned before (several times), turquoise is one of my favorite colors for accessories because it looks amazing paired with just about anything. I love to pair turquoise with coral or orange (it’s my go-to for UT football games #hookem) – this combination is so fun and fresh and is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall as we start to bring the warmer colors into our wardrobes. I recently got this top from Alice & Trixie, and although it is already sold out online ( 🙁 ), I also love this top and this top from them – they have similar lace detailing and are so stunning!
Lately I have been getting a few questions about my hair…. so I thought I’d quickly share 3 of my favorite hair care products (maybe I’ll do a full post on this soon!) – they are actually all drug store products and are super affordable! To be honest, I do not use anything special on my hair as far as shampoo/conditioner goes. I have tried expensive shampoos and I don’t find that they make any impact on my hair at all – in fact I think they are kind of a rip off. Since I have pretty dry skin, I actually just use Head & Shoulders shampoo & conditioner and it works wonders on my hair. And it smells so good! After I wash my hair (before it is dry), I’ll spray Its a 10 Miracle Leave-In + Keratin on it (that stuff is amazing), and then I let it dry overnight. My hair gets super wavy, so usually for work I will keep it that way and just touch up the ends a little bit. On the weekends I’ll straighten it, and once I’m done I’ll spray a little Organix Argan Oil of Morocco on the ends to weigh them down and tame any frizz. And that’s about it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
