Shop The Look:
Happy Monday – I hope everyone had a great weekend! If you’ve been following me over on Instagram (or on Snapchat @fashoverfatigue), you saw that Drew and I just got back from our California Road Trip adventure! We started up in San Francisco and made our way down the coast to San Diego with stops in the prettiest towns along the way. I’m going to do a full recap of our trip including our itinerary, where we stayed & ate (we ate SO MUCH amazing food!!), and reviews of what we we did along the way. Expect that to come in the next couple of weeks (is jet lag from California to Texas even a thing?! Because I am exhausted!!) and I am even working on a video travel diary that I can’t wait to share with you all!
Today’s look was one that I wore in Santa Barbara (which was about halfway through our trip). It was so funny how as soon as we entered Southern California, there were palm trees everywhere! Santa Barbara was one of my favorite towns that we visited because the beachy/tropical vibe set against the mountain backdrop was just too beautiful. We stayed one night in SB (we stayed at the Franciscan Inn which was the CUTEST and was only one block from the beach!) and in the morning we visited the Santa Barbara Courthouse (pictured here) to see some of the most spectacular views of the city – seeing the town from above reminded me so much of being in Italy!
I wore a simple maxi dress that day (the brand is Romeo & Juliet Couture and I got it from Saks Off Fifth but I can’t find it anywhere online! This one is a very similar print) and topped it off with a fun sunhat. I love wearing hats when I travel because they do such a great job of protecting my face from the sun and they make any outfit look a little more chic and put together. I also wore my new Kendra Scott Cuff that I got from the #NSALE – it hardly left my wrist the entire trip! The gold color is sold out already but it is still available in silver and gunmetal which will look so chic when the fall/winter comes.
Thanks for stopping by!
