Shop The Look:
Happy Friday – I hope everyone had a great week & is ready for the weekend! I am currently writing this as I sit at Dallas Love Field airport, waiting to hop on a quick flight to Austin for the weekend. Drew’s parents are treating us all to a weekend at a cabin in the Hill Country so I am looking forward to relaxing by the river, lots of good food, and hopefully making some s’mores by the fire!
Today’s look is one of the final looks from my #FOFxPCH series, but next week I will be sharing our full itinerary (what we did each day, where we ate, and where we stayed) as well as my first ever VLOG (!!!) , so be sure to check back for that! Today’s look was from our third day of the trip when we made it to Big Sur – one of the parts of the trip I was most looking forward to. Big Sur is a 90 mile stretch of the California coast between Carmel & San Simeon where the mountains meet the ocean and let me tell you, it is beautiful! You’ll know you’ve entered Big Sur when you reach Bixby Bridge – it is breathtaking and definitely worth a stop. Most people park on the right side of the road just before crossing the bridge, but you can get the best views of the bridge of you park/run across the road to the left side, like we did! From there, you can get a view of the bridge with the Pacific Ocean in the background (or fog, as was the case on the day we visited!).
Because it was foggy and chilly (only 60 degrees in July!), I wore my go-to white camisole with this plaid shirt on top. A plaid shirt is a must-have for fall, and I love the blue color in this one and it is so, so, so soft! I’m definitely going to wear it on repeat this fall – it will be so cute paired with a quilted vest or faux fur vest and some riding boots.
Thanks for stopping by – have a great weekend!
