Happy Friday friends! Today is a wonderful day because Drew & I leave for California this evening and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens up to the public! Today I thought I’d share exactly what I purchased from the sale as well as my thoughts on each item. I received most of it on Wednesday of this week, so I shared each item on Snapchat (follow me! @fashoverfatigue) and I included those snaps below so you can see how each item looks on. Check it out & happy shopping!
Also, be sure to check out my #NSALE First Look Roundup as well as my Best of the #NSALE: Handbags, Shoes, and Accessories posts!
Now for the snapchat photos! Keep in mind not everything I ordered above has arrived yet, so I am sharing the first round of items & will share the others later on once they arrive. I apologize in advance for the darkness/poor quality of these pictures!
Lush V-Neck Blouse ($28) & Kendra Scott Cuff ($50): I love this top! It is this year’s version of this tunic, and the 3/4 sleeve makes it perfect for any time of the year. It also comes in 7 colors – some are even fun and bright and can be worn now! This top runs a little large so I would recommend ordering one size smaller (for reference, usually I wear a small-medium but in this top I am wearing a small).
Kendra Scott Cuff ($50): I have been wearing this cuff every day! It’s so cute! It also comes in silver and gunmetal.
Topshop Pointelle Sweater ($46): At first I was a little skeptical on this sweater, but once I tried it on I fell in love. The main thing I love about this sweater is that it is different than just any old run-of-the-mill sweater. The sleeves have a slight bell shape to them which is so cute. This sweater runs true to size but be careful when you order because it is sized in UK sizing (for reference, I am wearing a size US 6 which is said to fit like a size 4).
Lush Strappy Long Sleeve Blouse ($32): One of my favorite purchases! I love the strap detailing in the front – it is conservative enough that you can wear to work but is sassy enough that you can wear out to dinner or for a date night! It runs a little bit large, so order one size down (I am wearing a small).
I loved it so much I bought it in two colors!
BP Cargo Jacket ($45): Unfortunately this jacket is already sold out (although rumor has it they are going to be restocking items today – so make sure to check back often!), but there are some other similar cargo jackets part of the sale here for $126 and here for $45. I love this style of jacket for the fall because it makes even the simplest tee-and-jeans outfit look cute and put together!
Michael Kors Hooded Trench Coat ($130) & teve Madden Peep Toe Shootie ($): Unfortunately these shoes are also already sold out, but once again make sure to check back as Nordstrom is known to re-stock items on the first day that the sale goes public. I love love love these shoes! The tan is such a pretty color (they are also available in navy) and the peep-toe-slingback heel is my favorite style of shoe. They run true to size. I have also been wanting a trench coat for such a long time and was happy to snag this one up. It has so many amazing features… a removable hood, it zips up the front (SO much better than buttons!), and it has a removable lining on the inside that you can take out for warmer months and put back in once the temps drop. I ordered it in both a size Small and a size Medium and I can’t decide which one I want to keep… I love how the small looks but I want to make sure that I can wear it comfortably with sweaters underneath. The medium feels a little too big so I have to think on it! I would recommend either trying this one on in stores or ordering in more than one size to make sure you get the fit you like. It also comes in blue, red, navy, and black!
BP Fringe Infinity Scarf ($12): I always gravitate towards infinity scarves when the weather turns cool and the fringe on this one is so cute.
Nike Juvenate Sneaker ($70): These tennis shoes are so slick! They are unlike any tennis shoe I’ve ever tried on because they don’t have a tongue.. they are more of a slide-on style of shoe. And the bottoms are totally smooth! On the Nordstrom site, these sneakers look like they are a light blue/silvery color, but in reality they are more mint/teal shades. They look amazing and are super comfortable and light. I purchased them with the intention of wearing them when I walk my dogs, but they feel more like a running shoe to me (seriously they are so light), so I’ve decided to return them. If you’re looking for a performance shoe that is stylish, this would be a great choice for you!
Thanks for stopping by! PS – make sure to follow me on Snapchat at fashoverfatigue to keep up with Drew and I as we make our way down the California coast this next week! Have a great weekend!
