The Perfect Travel Accessory Feat. Retrak

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend or Memorial Day?  I have a couple of trips to Austin planned over the next several weeks and in July Drew and I are going to California for a week – I can’t wait!  I absolutely love travel and I even love the process of planning trips – it always makes me even more excited for the trip to plan out all of the fun things that we will be doing.  I also oddly like making schedules and organizing things, which works out well since Drew is the total opposite.  With summer just around the corner, travel is going to be on the mind of just about everyone so today I thought I’d share one of my travel must-haves!

One of my biggest struggles when traveling is keeping my phone battery alive.  No matter if I’m waiting to board a flight at the airport, listening to music while on the plane, or riding shotgun on a roadtrip, I find that I am always on my phone and the battery just simply does not last.  I always end up being that person that has to get a seat with an electrical outlet at the airport while I wait for the flight because I want my phone to be at 100% before I board the plane (which somehow it never is)!  And not to mention what a pain it is trying to keep my phone charger, headphones, and laptop charger from getting tangled up in each other in my bag…

Enter Retrak phone cords & battery banks… these handy little gizmos are a total game changer!  My two favorite products from them are the Retractable Lightening Cable (buy on Amazon here) and the 2-in-1 Car Charger & Battery Bank. (buy on Amazon here) I have a regular iPhone cord that I use at home (and I have one I keep at work too), but this cable is my go-to for when I’m traveling because it is retractable!  Meaning the cord never gets tangled and it is so easy to throw in your handbag or carry-on.  (Don’t worry, they also make this cable for Android phones too).  What’s even better is that these cords have a Lifetime Warranty… which is obviously much longer than the basic white iPhone cords that inevitably start to “turtleneck” after a while.

VI also have the 2-in-1 Car Charger & Battery Bank – I love this little piece of technology because it is so easy to use and has saved me SO many times from having a dead phone battery!  It acts as a regular car charger when plugged into your car.  But, when you don’t have your phone plugged into it, it is actually charging a small battery inside of the charger.  Then once you take it out of your car, it acts as a portable battery – meaning you can charge your phone on the go!  Which is so perfect for traveling – when Drew and I were driving to South Padre a few weeks ago (check out those posts here, here, and here), I used both the Retractable Lightening Cord & the 2-in-1 Car Charger & Battery Bank while we were in the car.  Then I simply took them both with me down to the beach so that I could charge my phone once the battery got low from listening to music, posting on Instagram, and taking snaps on Snapchat (follow me at: fashoverfatigue)!.  It was so nice to not have to worry about my battery because I knew I always had back-up in my bag.

Retrak also makes all kinds of other cool products like retractable headphones, fitness arm bands, and selfie sticks.  Their products are sold at Target (in-stores only), Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, HEB, Kohl’sBed Bath & Beyond, and many other retailers (find out where here).

Thanks for stopping by!  Do you have any travel essentials or must-haves?!

A special thank you to Retrak for providing the products featured in this review.  As always, all opinions are my own.
