This past weekend my parents and I made a visit to Texas Tulips (about an hour north of Dallas) to hand pick our own tulips! This tulip farm was started by a couple from Holland & it was the real deal – they had so many colors & varieties of tulips that I didn’t even know existed! Read on to hear more about our experience…
As you can see, there were thousands & thousands of tulips of all colors & varieties! We went early in the morning which was the perfect time before it got too crowded & hot.
When you arrive at Texas Tulips, you pay a $2.50 per person entrance fee, and then each tulip you pick to take home with you is $2.50. They have all kinds of cute baskets to use so you can load up as many blooms as you’d like.
Once you’ve picked all the blooms you want, they wrap up the tulips in paper for you and attach a small baggie of water to the bottom of them to keep them fresh until you get home and can put them in a vase.

I love having fresh flowers around the house, so when I heard that there was a tulip farm not too far away that you could actually pick your own tulips – I knew I had to check it out! I’m always changing which flower is my favorite (currently it is hydrangeas), but tulips are always towards the top of my list. I love the bright colors and I had no idea that they came in so many varieties – some of my favorites that we picked were the two-tone blooms and since then, they have opened up even more and are even prettier! For this fun, springtime outing I decided to wear some white jeans and my new favorite combination of coral and turquoise. Turquoise is one of my favorite ways to add a pop of color in the spring and summer – it looks amazing with just about any bright color you can think of and it also looks extremely chic with an all-white ensemble. Below I’ve rounded up some of my favorite turquoise baubles:
Thanks for stopping by!
Texas Tulips is located in Pilot Point, Texas and is open daily in the springtime from 9am to 8pm.
