I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but it always makes me want to travel (or at least start planning out trips that I want to take!). One of my New Year’s Resolutions for this year is to travel more – the only difficult part is deciding where to go. Right now I’m craving a trip that involves lots of sunshine, amazing food, and a good time – which sounds a lot like Las Vegas to me! I’ve been to Vegas twice before and had totally different experiences – the first time was with my roommates and a huge group of friends shortly after we all turned 21. That trip was all about seeing the sights, checking out the nightclubs, and staying up all night long. The second time was for a Bachelorette party, but because it was a small group of us (only 4), we ended up having a (dare I say!) relaxing trip that involved lounging by the pool, amazing dinners, seeing the shows, and lots of shopping. No matter what type of traveler you are, Vegas definitely has something for you. I rounded up some of my favorite experiences that I’ve had so far in Vegas below as well as outfits to match – enjoy!
One of my favorite parts of vising Vegas is walking the strip and checking out all of the different hotels and casinos – they are so amazing! Each one has its own personality and several even have free attractions to check out.
The second time I visited Vegas we stayed at the Aria Resort & Casino and I loved it. it’s right in the middle of The Strip so everything is easy to get to (there’s even a monorail) and the interior of the hotel is beautiful – and the entire place smells like vanilla! We pretty much spent every single day of that trip sipping drinks by the pool and doing some serious people watching.
Let’s be honest- there are so many amazing restaurants in Vegas that you pretty much can’t go wrong. One that I love is the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Hotel – it is literally inside the tower and offers the most amazing views of The Strip as well as the Fountains at the Bellagio.
Drinks are not hard to come by in Vegas (there are literally bars everywhere), but one of my favorite places to go for a drink is The Cosmopolitan. The ambiance is so chic and just plain cool. You must also check out the Chandelier Bar – it is unreal!
When visiting Vegas, seeing a show is an absolute must! The first time I went we saw Cirque Du Soleil’s Beatles LOVE and the second time we saw Le Reve – both were amazing and unlike anything I had ever seen before. What’s so great about the shows in Vegas is that because they have a permanent home, the sets/props/stunts/everything can be much more elaborate and over-the-top. There’s also so many types of shows to choose from – from Cirque du Soleil to magicians to big-time music stars (cough, Britney, cough), there’s something for everyone.
You can’t talk about Vegas and not mention the nightclubs! We went to XS the first time I visited Vegas and had a great time (but be prepared – it is very expensive! We were shocked to find out our drinks were about 6x more expensive than what we were used to paying in Texas!). It’s located in my favorite Las Vegas Hotel – The Wynn (which you should definitely add to your list to check out).
There you have it – my favorite Vegas hot spots as well as the #UltimateVegasOutift to go with each! Both times I went to Vegas we used Vegas.com for all of our planning – you can find out about everything going on in Sin City as well as finding out more about each of the Las Vegas Hotels (for both on & off the strip), purchasing shows tickets, and much more. There’s even pro insider tips that will help you in your planning!
Thanks for stopping by – have a great weekend!
